Island Life (interlude)

Just a single thought about today.
Flying at a high altitude gives you some feeling that you know is a privilege. Noticing the clouds as well as the scenery of the whole flight, I see something beyond what people glance during flights. Flying over the clouds which covered the islands was insightful. As the clouds were shaping the form of the island itself, I noticed that the clouds only covered the islands. To my surprise, I bet there’s a very good scientific explanation for these things to happen. Then I noticed the islands themselves. They washed out to the open sea.
As obvious at it may seem we say an island is surrounded by water. Come to think of it, here’s a thought. Knowing that soil from upstream rivers is carried down as sediments, we usually don’t say that in the future islands are going to be eroded and eventually vanish from this earth, give or take a few centuries or so. Probably, it’s just me but don’t you think that’s the way our lives are? Not that I’m saying that we should be negative about the whole thing, but just ponder how the similarities are parallel.
We know that life is fleeting and eventually we too will erode. I heard that everyone is dying. It’s just a question of when and where, right?
